PRIMO Database Server Specification : 07/06/2011
	A server is required to run the PRIMO system. The specification below is for a server system running Windows Server, IIS, file and print, backup services, antivirus software and Microsoft SQL Server. The disk space is based upon our experience and allows for the applications in this proposal only. If a dedicated server is to be used it is recommended it is joined to the network as a member server. Additional software and services such as other SQL based applications, Active Directory and Exchange Server will increase server utilization and may necessitate additional hardware, storage or a higher specification than that below. Required server software and services are as follows:
	- Microsoft Windows 2003 or 2008 Server (Standard or Enterprise Editions) - Microsoft SQL Server 2005 or 2008 (Express, Workgroup or Standard Edition) - Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 SP1 - Microsoft Internet Information Server - Remote Desktop Connection or suitable remote access for Tharstern Technical Support - Suitable back-up and antivirus facilities

PRIMO Client Specification
	The recommended specification for client workstations running PRIMO Commercials modules are as follows:
	- Pentium IV 3GHz+ or Pentium Dual/Quad Cores 1.4+Ghz - 512 MB Memory (Windows XP) / 2GB Memory (Windows Vista / Windows 7 ) - Resolution 1024 x 768 x 32Bit - 1 gbps network connection - Windows XP Professional SP2 / Windows Vista Business or Ultimate / Windows 7 Business or Ultimate - Internet Explorer 6.0 or above - Microsoft Word 2003 or above These hardware requirements are based upon the running the PRIMO applications identified above along with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, Crystal Reports and a suitable antivirus product. A higher specification machine may be required should additional applications be loaded and used simultaneously.

PRIMO Client Specification
	The recommended additions, over the standard specification above, for workstations running the Production Scheduling module are: - Resolution 1280 x 1024 x 32Bit - Dual 19” Monitors Recommended

PRIMO Client Specification (IDC)
	The recommended specification for a workstation (PC or Mac) using Intranet Data Capture is shown below. IDC operation in a multi-site environment requires a suitable site to site connection such as a VPN between sites, providing suitable bandwidth (approx. 64kbps per 3 terminals) and security. - Resolution 800 x 600 x 16bit - Wired or wireless network connection - Internet Explorer (6.0 or above), Safari or Firefox - Adobe Reader

Web Server
	For commercial, internet based deployment of E4Print, Print Management Web Portal* and Print Management Business to Business a dedicated web server is required running the following software and services:
	Operating System	Microsoft Windows 2003 / 2008 Server (Web, Standard or Enterprise Editions)
	Processor	Intel Dual / Quad Core 2GHz or above
	Memory (RAM)	2 - 4GB RAM (Window 2003) / 4 - 8GB RAM (Windows 2008)
	RAID Level	RAID 5 or better Highly Recommended
	Other Services	Remote Desktop Connection or suitable remote access for Tharstern Technical Support, plus back-up and antivirus facilities.
	*Note: This software can be installed onto any server meeting the above specification; regardless of whether this is a dedicated web server, however the security implications of this must be appreciated if another server is used.

Internet Connectivity
	A suitable Internet connection will be required for commercial, internet based deployments of E4Print, Print Management Web Portal* and Print Management Business to Business. The requirements of this are as follows:
	Bandwidth	ADSL, SDSL or Leased Line providing approximately 128kps upstream bandwidth per expected concurrent connection.
	IP	Single Static IP, assigned to Web Server.
	FQDN	Fully Qualified Domain Name e.g. online.tharstern.com, assigned to the above IP.
	Certificate	128bit SSL Web Server Certificate or better (strongly recommended).
	Firewall	Router or Firewall with DMZ hosting the above Web Server recommended.
	*Note: DSL and similar products offer a budget broadband solution suited for general internet usage. ADSL in particular, offers limited performance, reliability and service levels. For these reasons a leased line is recommended for commercial deployments of E4Print, where performance and availability are business critical.
